Here is another spectacular Ruth McDowell quilt that is hanging at the Vermont Quilt Festival through tomorrow.

Another Ruth McDowell quilt 06-24-16L

 

The Vermont Quilt Festival is underway and I hear that Ruth McDowell's special "lifetime" exhibit is stupendous.  As if it would be anything else.  She is an outstanding artist and I am pleased to have so many of her quilts in TCQC.  This is one of fourteen quilts on loan for the exhibit in Vermont.

Another quilt from Ruth McDowell's Vermont exhibit 06-22-16

Summer Lily is a large quilt which depicts a very small woodland plant.  Ruth's outstanding fabric selection is right up there with her best.  Hope you can see this quilt at the Vermont Quilt Festival.

Another Ruth McDowell quilt 06-21-16

Here is another of Ruth's quilts from TCQC that is hanging at the Vermont Quilt Festival as part of an exhibit of a life time of Ruth's quilts.  She has, of course,  made hundreds of quilts (the last figure I heard was 400), so the 62 quilts in this exhibit are just a tasting.  If you plan to go to the Festival and want to hear Ruth's presentation you might want to get advance tickets.  I've heard that they already have 375 tickets sold.  The show is just this weekend.

Quilt by Ruth McDowell to be shown at Vermont Quilt Festival 06-19-16

This is one of the quilts in TCQC that I have loaned to the exhibit of Ruth McDowell quilts to be shown at the Vermont Quilt Festival this  coming weekend.   There will be 62 of her quilts on display - a "Life's Work" presentation. 

I wish I could go to see it, but it just isn't possible.  I hope someone will send me some pictures.
