KoKo helps me read 04-29-17

When I sit in the recliner reading and KoKo needs attention he somewhat interferes with my reading.   Note the 12X12 quilt on the wall depicting Corky, the Poodle Prince. 

 

"Hello.  Why aren't you paying attention to me?"

 

"Can I help you turn the pages so you will be finished more quickly?"

"Maybe it is time for treats?"

"I'm not very comfortable with this book in my neck."

"Here, put your bookmark here so you can get me a treat."

Flowers - Pink Jasmine 04-28-17

Pink Jasmine is such a fragrant vine, sometimes the fragrance is overwhelming.  When we first moved into this house it grew on the side fence and was always blooming about the time I went to Empty Spools Seminars in Pacific Grove.  When my neighbor decided to put in a new block wall between our properties all of the shrubs had to go and I have never replanted the jasmine.   These pictures were taken in San Diego in 2013.

Palm trees in bloom 04-27-17

There are over 3000 different types of palm trees in the world - that we know of, anyway.  They are so varied that some don't even seem like they would be called palms.  I have no idea which variety this one is, but I was delighted with the waterfall effect of the dying blossoms.
