Friday Fanny 02-21-14

I wonder if this lady has actually looked at her back view in a mirror.  Very weird looking, eh?

Friday Fanny 10-25-13

This lady was in the FedEx facility with her baby.  I was there with Corky in his stroller.

This is very fancy, but seems like it would be hard to sit on for very long.

Friday Fanny 09-20-13

Hard to get the right angle!  Since the Veranda Sale/Art Walk in San Diego I see more and more of these long dresses.  Usually the bodies are sufficient for the style, but not always.  Gotta be tall and slender to wear something like this.

She kinda blends with the boxes in this Starbuck's cafe.

This lady is really fearless - all those stripes going different ways and then there are the shoes!

The lady above was seen when I stopped at the Verizon store to pay my bill before it was overdue.  Imagine my surprise to see a line OUTSIDE the store.  Verizon recently remodeled this store and it is the largest one around.  There was a sales person with a clipboard at the head of the line - he let me go in to use the bill paying machine.  There were quite a few customers inside, but I sure wouldn't stand out in the heat very long.  Guess this is what we get when we live in a megopolis!

Friday Fannies 09-06-13

I guess there were thousands of people at the Art Walk at Liberty Station in San Diego on August 24-25.  And many came across the street and shopped at the VAM Veranda Sale.  VAM did very well that weekend.  It was quite warm (not as bad as this past week), but there was a gentle breeze on the veranda to provide a measure of relief.  I noticed how many hats were worn by both women and men - all styles, colors, and varied degrees of sun protection - which I imagine was the point.  Another sartorial trend were the many versions of long, slinky dresses/skirts.

This one was quite striking, but the hat was a little too country.

Lots of stripes, but one must be verrrrry slendar to wear them.

Friday - both Feet and Fanny! 08-16-13

I was in Trader Joe's the other day and turned to find this very tall young woman wearing 5" heels.  Her skirt is a shiny, stretchy fabric - think gloves.

She can easily reach anything on the shelves.

I'm sure she is more than six feet tall sans heels.  Unfortunately, she was walking away from me, so this is the best image I could manage.   How difficult is it for her to live in a world of shorter people?  Considering the problem I have trying to reach for items on the shelves over the frozen food bins, I still would not want to be this tall.
I tried for the feet, but they were just a blur.

Friday Fanny 08-09-13

I think I am running out of steam with Friday Feet, though I do have some pictures I haven't used.  This week I will switch to Friday Fanny.   I couldn't get my camera out of my purse fast enough when this lady walked up to the counter.  I like her jacket though.

I'm not sure if she bought these jeans like this, or cut holes in them so she could practice stitching. She needs a LOT of practice.

I think it is sad that she went to all this trouble and did such a lousy job.  But maybe she thinks this is Artistic.   I feel this way about some quilts, too.
See what an old fuddy duddy I am?

Friday Feet/Fanny 10-26-12

This very tall lady was in front of me in line at Starbuck's the other day.  It was about 50F and I wondered if her tights were thermal.   Not sure about the fanny, she doesn't appear to have one.  I also wonder if those are skulls with crowns or just E.T. with crowns.

Friday Fanny 08-31-12

One of my favorite places to eat breakfast or lunch is Kimmie's which has four locations - Fullerton, Brea, Placentia and Orange. I had breakfast at Brea the other day and discovered they have expanded into the next store front.  It is a little "cozy", but for some reason it is quieter than the Orange location where I frequently have breakfast or lunch.   Just plain good food and the coffee isn't bad either.

At all locations the waitresses, invariably blond, wear these little aprons in different fabrics.  I'm not sure the short jeans look very good, but the service is great whatever they wear.

Friday Feet... and Fanny! 08-03-12

Some friends were on a cruise that stopped in Sitka, Alaska, this spring and had their picture taken with an eagle "enactor" - or whatever those guys are called.

I've notice more and more jeans with back pocket "bling", so I think I will try for some fanny shots.  This one doesn't have bling, but isn't it an attractive design?
