Quiet life with KoKo and Froggy 04-27-22

I just don't have anything to say because I am not doing anything.  We go for our two walks a day (9am and 7pm) and we talk to neighbors sometimes, so there is a little human contact!  This week has been doctor week, visiting my primary and seeing the periodontist.  I am reading Katie Couric's memoir "Going There" (2021}  - because one of my Book Group members was passing it on.  I have never watched anything she has done that I can remember, I was never a Today follower.  It is interesting what goes on behind the scenes, but I find her a little too frank and very flip.  Since I don't watch TV anymore I have no idea what it is like now or what she is doing.

KoKo is being the perfect dog, but keeps wanting to go see Donna where he stayed while I was at Empty Spools.  Maybe he wants to see the cat?  He is always interested in a cat, but has never made friends.  It is time for more major surgery on Froggy.  I am amazed that KoKo still is so attached to him.  I try other toys, he has a bunch, but he just goes to find Froggy.

We did go to PetSmart to visit the Easter Bunny on April 9th.  KoKo seemed bored with it all.  The Easter Bunny was huge......

...and KoKo looked so small.

All that is on my May calendar is Surfside QGuild on the second Tuesday and several more doctors to see.  They are all specialists - soon we will have a specialist for one's left arm and another for the right arm and one for the right eye and another for the left.  It is so time consuming and stressful.

Easter Sunday 04-12-20

What a strange Easter, especially for those who usually have special celebrations and gatherings on this day.  KoKo and I had coffee from Starbuck's and took our usual two walks.  Not many people about and almost no cars.  Eerie.

The neighborhood organizers had signs out to post eggs for the kids to spot.  I saw quite a few and even some plastic eggs scattered on lawns.

Here are the three I had in my window.  The one on the left is fabric fused to fabric, in the center is just a large print fused to paper, and on the right  a weird shape that has been "pieced" with cut out fused fabric.  The one on the left may turn into a cushion, still thinking about it.  Who would want an Easter Egg cushion anyway?

No visit to the PetSmart Easter bunny this year, so I bought KoKo a pair of bunny ears.  He didn't like them!  This is the best picture I could manage and I had to be quick since he immediately pulled them off with his paw.  Stubborn, eh?

I didn't realize I had included KoKo in a picture, he is just keeping track of me.  You see why I had to take the pictures at an angle - because of the reflections.

I am struggling with the restrictions and I know that many of you are also.  If you just need to talk to someone, give me a call.   714-315-9526   As you know, I am up late.

Ten days of Easter Eggs 04-04-20

The neighborhood children are now looking for Easter egg images in our windows.  And drawing bunnies and Easter eggs on the sidewalk.  This scavenger search will last for about ten days.  Don't know if we need to change the eggs, guess I will just add more as the time goes by.

Rather a scary bunny with a baby bunny on his head.

Here is an egg for one of the panes in our front window.  Looks more like a hot air balloon, maybe I need to trim it a bit.  Oh, well, they will know it is supposed to be an egg.

It is made with fused scraps on printer paper.  Disposable.

KoKo see the Easter Bunny 04-21-19

KoKo missed having a visit with Santa in December, so I made sure that he had a chance to meet the Easter Bunny (at PetSmart).

The bunny looks huge and next to a 12 pound Yorkie, I guess he is.  And it wasn't a boy bunny, but a young lady bunny.  Actually, KoKo was completely unimpressed.

Disgusted Bunny 04-04-10

I passed on Easter dinner at Corky's house due to my cold. But his dad sent pictures.
He is so patient! But his look says, "Oh, pleeeeez."

Still a good looking Poodle Prince, though.

Happy Easter 04-03-10

I'm still trying to get rid of this cold, so I will be home 'resting' for Easter Sunday. And perhaps I will be able to finish editing the wild flower pictures I took on the way home from Empty Spools.

Wishing you and yours a lovely Easter Sunday. Del
