One of the first things that Hilde had her students do was to put masking tape on their design board to define the size of their project. Not that the work had to stay within those boundaries, just to help keep the scope of the building sizes balanced.
Maggie Davis started out with a lovely blue door.
And had accomplished this much before the end of class.
Kathy Hundhammer started out with a roof and the banister on a deck.

She created a rhododendron bush with the Solvy lace technique
By the time the class ended she had created house and deck.
