The Jacaranda trees were a disappointment this year. I expect they suffered from the lack of rainfall, like most of the trees in SCalifornia. This year trees had to survive on the water they receive from sprinklers or drippy hoses. I missed them. These pictures are from 2006.
Next Sunday I hope to get back to posting a quilt from TCQC, but I'll have to do some photographing first.

I can see why you miss them. I just noticed that my day lilies did not bloom this year. The foliage is there. Just no flowers. I think I need to amend the soil.
Gorgeous close-up. I like repeated photos -- either I don't remember the first time 'round or I remember it with such pleasure that it's a joy to see again. Thanks.
Del is that the tree that was in What Dreams May Come? I always wondered if it was movie magic or real.
