Yes,  fresh tomatoes in January!

They are very tiny, less than the size of my thumbnail, but still sweet and tasty.  The vines, which are mostly dying in this image, grow in my neighbor's flower bed; the seeds coming from the mulch which contains treated sewage sludge.  .

But on the top where they receive more sunshine the buds are still coming on.

As are the new buds on the flowers.

We also have roses in bloom, this is a Chicago Peace. If one tends one's roses religiously they will bloom year round.   Mine are neglected and very sad.

Oh I have some tomatoes too, small but tasty. Our sunflowers are 5 ft tall and blooming. SoCal is amazing.
Thanks for the pictures and Happy New Year.
