KoKo guards the quilt!
Nancy Ota started Surfside Quilters Guild in 2009 and has given a great deal of time and effort to keep it going and make it educational and fun for the members. We occasionally make a special star quilt for an outstanding member and this time it was Nancy's turn. All board members and former board members were given the opportunity to make a block (3", 6", 9") with a white or ecru backing and a brightly colored star. They are very nice blocks some of them are miniatures of 1-1/2" in a set of 4 to make 3". It was a complete surprise for Nancy when the quilt was presented at the July Guild Meeting. The setting is similar to a quilt that was in ModCon recently.
