Black days 11-10-16

I am so far in the dumps I can't think of anything to write about.  I may consider wearing all black as long as Trump is in office.  The speculation about his cabinet just adds insult to injury.

I need chocolate daily.   Del

I agree, Del. I have found, though, in the last couple of days that it really helps to get out and away from my thoughts. Wednesday we went to our monthly lunch and not a word was said. (I think 4 of the 6 had followed their husbands' lead and voted for him without even thinking about what it could mean). I had felt so sick before we went but realized I felt better when I got home. Yesterday I talked to 3-4 who I knew felt the same but otherwise just got involved in other things and again realized the panic was gone when I got home. It does make me sick but nothing is going to change and I think we have to hope that there are controls in place in the laws. Do whatever you can to take care of you!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I've been wandering around wondering what to do next...I try not to pay attention to the news, but I seem to be compelled to hear and/or watch what's coming next! This man scares me to death!!! My hope is that better minds are in the House and Senate, but there's no telling who's who and what's what there! And to think so very many citizens of these United States of America are so unhappy and so desperate to elect such a despicable man for their president and had no thoughts or cares about the results of their choice! We'll certainly make it though these next four years somehow...but what condition(s) will be left for the next people who toss their hats into the ring? Take care Del, stay well. Quilt, quilt, quilt!

Sending hugs. I am right there with you. It is hard to get anything accomplished. These are dark days for sure.

I'm beside myself. I don't know what to do to counteract his hate and the nation's apparent disregard of it. I appreciate your voicing your sentiments, Del. Thank you.

I'm with you (and her). Hard to believe we're in this situation. I've turned to bright fabric and like-minded friends.

I wrote a FB post about dealing with ones negative feelings . My advice is to do something for others. There are SO many things we can do from just a smile on up to big things. Think about this...now or anytime you are down.

Who doesn't need chocolate every day?!?!? Think better, my friend, as he just might surprise us with more wisdom that he exhibited on the trail. XX

It is the worst I've ever felt about an election. Others have been disappointing, but this one is way beyond that—terrifying. I'm with you!
