Monday browsing and KoKo 02-05-19

Not much browsing going on at my house, I am still hassling with my new laptop.  But I know that Luana Rubin has posted images from the huge Tokyo Quilt Festival and they are worth a browse or two.  Each year the crowds get bigger and the quilts are more fantastic.  Check it out:

Our six days of on again, off again rain seems to be over until the weekend.  It has added huge amounts of snow to the Sierra where most of our piped water comes from and it has allowed the weeds to grow again after the years of drought.  Don't know if that is a good thing or not, but it is very nice to see all the green.

We have had good luck finding non-rainy spaces of time to go for our two daily walks.  We have gotten damp a few times, but not soaked.  Here is the little guy checking out a flow from someones front yard just after the rain stopped.  You can see the grey clouds in the background and yet there is sunshine on the houses at the end of the street.

We are thankful for rain here because it is not SNOW! Ha!
When it is too icy to walk outside we go to Rural King which is a farm store that likes animals. Of course they are selling animals like chickens, ducks and rabbits. The local dog rescue has meet and greets on Saturdays.
