Visions Art Quilt Gallery

The new Visions Art Quilt Gallery in San Diego provides Southern California with great venue to see art quilts from all over. This project is a non-profit, volunteer effort and they need support from everyone, everywhere! Check the website at http://www.quiltvisions.org/ to find directions. It was a thrill for me to have quilts from the Thomas Contemporary Quilt Collection showing this summer. Tomorrow the third exhibit will open: "Quilts by Elizabeth Barton, Fran Skiles and Katie Pasquini Masopust" and I will be there for the opening reception. Along with a couple hundred others, I hope. This gallery in San Diego will not house the biennial Visions juried exhibit, which will continue to be shown at Oceanside Museum of Art in Oceanside, CA - the next exhibit will be in the fall of 2008.

A thought about age

"In spite of illness, in spite even of the archenemy sorrow, one can remain alive long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in inellectual curiosity, interested in big things, and happy in small ways." Edith Wharton
