Where have we been?

 Previous postMay 2025

We are still here in rather hot Placentia, CA.  Only 90F today and now 82F at 7:30pm.  We wait for our evening walk until the temp is 80F or below.  Sometimes we have to wait until 10pm!   We have lots of street lights, porch lights, yard lights, and motion sensing lights.  We stick to our basic loop, which is only about three quarters  of a mile (1900 steps).  We try for 5000 steps, but only manage that about once a week.

Hello!  It has been a year today since I last posted, but I'm not sure that post was actually ever posted.  Although it shows as such, there is a red "draft" showing.  So, I will go back and see if I can post it now - a whole year later.  I am hoping I can start blogging again, if not daily, at least on Sundays with a quilt from the TCQC; I have added some in the past year.  The cause of my silence has been my health, which has deteriorated and requires a lot of doctor visits and procedures.  I have had a few adventures, including a week at Empty Spools at Asilomar in February and I will post that at some point.  Meanwhile, here is the latest addition to TCQC. although I purchased it over three years ago, it was traveling with a SAQA exhibit which ended this past January, so I have received it recently.  Although I had only seen pictures of it, having it in-the-fabric shows me I made the right purchase!

"Finding Neverland #3 - Plums"  Jan Soules   2021  32" X 36"
The white is a little whiter, but I cannot seem to adjust it with the editing tools.

I have seen a few of Jan's quilts since 2021, so she is accepted in more exhibits or at least is entering more.  One of her pieces was at Visions in San Diego and I asked someont to take my picture with it because the colors I was wearing were so close to those of her quilt.
