Friday Feet 04-27-18

A feast for anyone with a shoe fetish!  But waaaay too much all at once.  If I saw any of these actually being worn I would be so shocked I wouldn't be able to take a picture.

Last SQG Newsletter done 04-24-18

I have done my last newsletter for Surfside Quilters Guild and sent it to be proof read.  I am already missing it!  Nothing on my May calendar for the creation or publishing of the newsletter - looks rather blank!   But I am hoping to go on a road trip to visit friends in the Pacific Northwest - Washington and Oregon.  So, that will fill up that space.

This weekend I will drive up to Pacific Grove to pick up the Bird quilts that have been hanging at Back Porch Fabrics.  KoKo will stay with Dee Jacobs where he is always happy.  My sincere and deepest appreciation to Dee!

Have you looked at Luanna Rubin's pictures from the Tokyo Quilt Festival?  There are some truly amazing quilts.  Check it out at:
Click on the quilt image for further info, not available for all.  The Little Women quilts are a special exhibit.

You might also enjoy looking at some of the quilts in the collection of the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY.:

A resting day 04-22-18

Yesterday KoKo and I went to a meeting with the lady who is taking over the Surfside Quilters Guild newsletter and then on to San Diego for the opening of the new exhibits.  KoKo was pretty good, but complained with loud barks when I left him alone in his carrier in the museum office for very long.  It wasn't a successful excursion.  I had dinner with Beth Smith, the director of the museum and then drove home in the dark, which I don't do so well at my advanced age.  We arrived home about 11pm and were soon in bed.  And we spent today recovering!  Of course, we did the two obligatory 1/2 hour walks, morning and evening and I worked on the newsletter - my very last one.  I have discovered that when I have a full day with two long drives I need to set aside the next day to recover.  Today was that day.

It was 80F today and all the flowers are blooming their very best .
