When one doesn't go anywhere or do anything interesting it is hard to write a blog! But I saw my doctor yesterday and also had a breathing test and it seems that I am over my bronchitis. I feel that I have been away some place and need to get readjusted to just living... without coughing.
KoKo and I have been taking our morning and evening walks all this two months, about 20 minutes each. So I have been out of the house every day. And this week I went to the Surfside Quilters Guild meeting in San Clemente - of course, the next day I had to rest up! But I am slowly getting back in the swing of things. At the meeting I picked up a philanthropy quilt to practice free motion quilting on. I haven't done it in so long I'm afraid I have forgotten how.
Some rain this morning, but it is supposed to be clear for the next four or five days. Give the weeds a chance to really grow.

Revisiting post from the past 01-09-17
Although I have added several new quilts to the Collection I have yet to photograph any of the quilts. So, here is a repeat of an earlier post.
12-08-13 How many times have you heard me say I don't buy quilts that need to be boxed separately - that cannot be rolled? Well, sometimes I do. I have another piece by Susan Else which resides in a dedicated box when not on the wall. Sometimes I can't resist something that "speaks" to me.

"Cold Day" 2011 Susan Else - Santa Cruz, CA Displayed in an 8"sq. Lucite box.
This came from SAQA in the Lucite box - very cleverly held upright by tiny holes in the bottom through which stitches are taken into the lady's posterior. I will keep her in the box, somehow it seems appropriate.
There are four views here, one into each side of the box.
Susan is very good at getting realistic body language into her work. Love the hair.

Shopping for KoKo 01-08-17
I am feeling much better and might even say I am well! I was out and about today - coffee with Liz, gas station, Trader Joe's, PetSmart and home. And I wasn't exhausted when I came home.
My final stop was at PetSmart for some KoKo treats and a new toy for him. I was looking for something about the size of Froggie, with lots of appendages and a squeaker. I found a little puppy, who is a fourth the size and very light weight, so it doesn't throw very far. It's two ears are about the same size as the legs, so it has seven good things for KoKo to hold on to. KoKo has been working the squeaker all day. He delights in squeakers. So, I was successful. I am not accustomed to shopping for others!
