Going off line for a few days 10-08-16
I'll post tomorrow night with one of the quilts from the SAQA auction. Then the laptop is going to the computer hospital for a check up and cleaning. Hope to be back by Wednesday. Del

Final pictures from class 10-06-16
Last of the classroom pictures from Elizabeth Busch's class in Maine.
In an attempt to dry the paint we put some work on the grass weighted down with stones.
Some of us peeled the work off the table along with the tape that held it taunt. Then we stuck them to the brick side of the building to dry.
Another of my experiments: shapes cut from Contact paper, using both the negative and positive. These are very small the birds are an inch or so.
The yellow is the transparent paint on canvas, the marks are made with chalk pastels.
I'm not sure about this one. I think it is the opaque medium with scratches made with a palette knife or a credit card.
This is what the classroom looked like. In the left bottom corner is the table with the liquid concentrated paint where we could serve ourselves, adding the drops to either the transparent or the opaque medium. Left to right are Andrea Bacal, Karen Crossland, Carol Fleischer, and Shandra Belknap.
Elizabeth Busch at the end of the day - I think we wore her out.

More work from Elizabeth Busch workshop 10-04-16
I'll have one more post of work done in the workshop in Maine. Unfortunately, I didn't mark which
pictures I posted previously. Again, most of the students asked that their work not be identified, so I am respecting their request.

The blue piece on top is actually the back of what she painted.
This piece is a demo done by teacher Elizabeth Busch.
All of these are the demos Elizabeth Busch did during the class.

Monday Browsing 10-03-16
Did you know you can see pictures
on-line of the quilts shown at the Alden Lane Nursery show in honor of Yvonne?
There's a Facebook group, Crafting a Life, with pictures of 46 quilts. https://www.facebook.com/Crafting-A-Life-857841154233909/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1397516490266370
I haven’t had time to do much
browsing, but, as always, I can recommend Lujana’s video page with pictures of
quilt shows and non-quilting adventures – to see the Polar Bears and lately to
Cuba.

Another new addition to TCQC 10-03-16
I have been shopping at the SAQA online auction again. I love adding another Pixeladies quilt to the Collection. This is unlike anything already included. It is channel quilted as we called it 40 years ago - what in this day and age I believe is called matchstick or toothpick quilting. Or is there yet another name I have not heard?
