[The largest boat lift in history occurred during the 9/11 attacks in New York City, but it is not widely acknowledged. This video is narrated by Tom Hanks and includes many rarely seen images.]
I have told several people about this site and finally spent some time looking up the correct URL. It is (no pun intended) an eye opener. Something your kids/g’kids might enjoy and learn from. http://www.awarenesstest.co.uk/

Del, I can't thank you enough for sharing the link to the film about the Boatlift. I have just finished viewing it and, with tears streaming down my face, I am reminded once again how proud I am of my American neighbors. We wept for you on 9/11 and we stand in awe of your bravery and kindness.
Gorgeous shot and wonderful stuff....I nominated you for a Liebster award on my blog. :)

Denise - I did the same thing when I viewed the 9/11 boat lift video - cried! With the rep that Manhattanites have for not being helpful, it was a revelation to see how they can step up to the plate in a crisis.
