Two dates for training: Thurs, October 18 at 11 a.m. or Sat, October 27 at 2:00 p.m.
Quilt Visions 2012: Brainstorms exhibition coordinator, Charlotte Bird, will be giving a tour of this much anticipated biennial for people interested in becoming "white glove" volunteers. If you come to the training and sign up for TWO white glove shifts, you will receive a free Brainstorms catalog. Shifts are three hours each. You don't need to be a Visions member to be a "white glove" volunteer.
We need many volunteers during the October 20, 2012 - February 17, 2013 exhibition. Please help spread the word and bring a friend along for the training!

San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles will now be closed both Monday and Tuesday, effective Oct 1st. This is a result of diminishing support from corporations and foundations. I urge you to support the textile museum of your choice – if we don’t contribute what we can we will lose our quilt museums.

Since my July 4th computer crash I have not gone back to the list of blogs that I read only occasionally. One that is especially inspiring is Wanda Hansen’s http://www.exuberantcolor.blogspot.com/
Lots of traditional type designs in brilliant color.

After looking at Olga Norris’ website for several years I finally decided to add some of her tiny quilts to TCQC. Look in the Gallery under Recent Work and Small Pieces, maybe you can guess which ones attracted my heart. www.olganorris.com
