Spring sneaking in 02-08-19

This may be cruel to all of you who are snowed under, but it may give you hope that Spring really will arrive eventually.

This Bradford Pear is against a brick wall facing north and it burst into bloom yesterday when the temp got up to 60F or so.   These trees are the first to bloom in our area every Spring.

White with a touch of pink at the center of the bloom.

They are slow to lose their leaves and this one is protected from the prevailing wind so some colorful leaves have clung on.

Right next to the pear is an overgrown jade plant.  The jade plants are in the middle of their bloom now.  The one at the corner of my garage, and as tall as the garage, is covered with these white blooms with a tiny bit of pink in the center - just like the Bradford Pear, but a different blossom all together.
