My laptop had a major "mal" and has been in the computer hospital to be completely wiped.  I'll go tomorrow to pick it up and have the tech guy help me reload all the programs.  I have Carbonite backup which should mean I won't lose any files.  Fingers crossed.  I'll be back on soon.  Love, Del-at-home

I have Carbonite, too. I will be interested in learning how this service works when a computer goes bad.

I've been thinking about Carbonite...but I'm a little cheap. This computer is SOOO old...and things are going on it bit by bit (plug ins don't work, CD/DVD readwrite doesn't work....) its from 2003....a dinosaur.

Ick - that's awful. Glad Carbonite works for your computer; I had it for my PC and then I bought a MAC and it didn't work with MAC. Fortunately, my husband had a Dell and I had to download everything to his computer and then somehow (I don't remember how) transfer it to my MAC. Serious pain.
