It seems my attention is drawn to shoes with bright laces. They have been around for a long time, but somehow I notice them more these days. I also notice women in very high heels and hope that as they "mature" they don't discover that they have ruined their feet. They might end up with "old lady" shoes in order to just keep walking upright! Although I don't regret the heels so much as the extremely pointed toes. Ouch.

I have "old lady feet" and I never wore very high or very pointed shoes (worse "boots" in fact, when boots first became fashion statement).
So don't blame your feet on your love of shoes -- they might not be connected at all:-)
