New 12X12 quilt in TCQC 09-14-14

This is one of four quilts I purchased at the Visions Art  Museum fund raiser last evening.

"Color Form 67"  Gail Baar - Chicago, IL   2014
Very modern, a crossover to the mid-century modern paintings.
The background and the back of the quilt are pure white - the camera turned them blue.

Close up of the machine quilting, all done with gold colored thread.

Should be pure white, not blue.  She kindly left some slack in the sleeve - doesn't take much, just a 1/4" is enough to allow the quilt to lay flat against the wall when there is a slat inserted.

The label has an added woven label with Gail's name and she has added her signature on the side facing.

Lovely addition to your collection. I was interested to see how the color of the gold stitching changed a bit depending on the color of fabric. Color theory is great fun!!!
