Revisiting a 2004 Ruth McDowell quilt 07-24-16

I think this is one of Ruth's happiest quilts.  Baron von Ruffhausen, "Harvey", a Bernese Mountain dog, belonged to Ruth's daughter Leah.  Ruth used the bright, happy Marimekko prints in the background because she felt that they indicated Harvey's happy, mischievous personality.  Harvey has gone over the rainbow bridge, but Ruth has one of his relatives, Sepia, from the same breeder.

Machine pieced and quilted.

Notice those cute toes!   I previously posted this quilt on February 1, 2009.

Del, I always enjoying seeing quilts from your collection. And I'm beginning to wonder just how many you own!
